Indications

Amoxicillin Suspension is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including:

  • Upper respiratory tract infections, such as sinusitis and otitis media.
  • Lower respiratory tract infections, such as pneumonia and bronchitis.
  • Urinary tract infections.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Dental infections.

Amoxicillin works by inhibiting the synthesis of the bacterial cell wall, leading to the death of susceptible bacteria.

Composition

Each 5 ml of suspension contains 500 mg of amoxicillin, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and administration.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, other penicillin-class antibiotics, or any of the formulation's components. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to penicillins and in those with severe liver disease.

Precautions

Special care should be taken in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disease, especially colitis. Renal function should also be monitored in patients with pre-existing kidney disease. The possibility of allergic reactions should be considered in patients with a history of multiple allergies.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Protect from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
