Indications
Amoxibron is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections susceptible to the action of amoxicillin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic. This medication is effective in treating respiratory tract infections, such as acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, as well as ear, nose, and throat infections. Bromhexine, on the other hand, acts as a mucolytic, facilitating the expulsion of bronchial secretions, which can be beneficial in conditions where there is mucus accumulation, such as in bronchitis or respiratory infectious processes.
Composition
Each Amoxibron capsule contains 500 mg of amoxicillin and 8 mg of bromhexine.
Contraindications
Amoxibron is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, other antibiotics of the penicillin family, or any component of the formula. Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to medications. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease without appropriate medical supervision.
Precautions
Renal function should be monitored in patients during Amoxibron treatment, especially in those with a history of kidney disease. Caution should be exercised when using this medication in patients with asthma or chronic respiratory diseases. Before initiating treatment, a complete medical evaluation is advisable to ensure its suitability.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
