Indications
Amoebriz is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by helminths and protozoa. It is effective in the treatment of amoebiasis, giardiasis, and intestinal worm infections such as ascariasis, enterobiasis, and hookworm. Mebendazole acts by inhibiting microtubule synthesis in parasites, while quinfamide has a mechanism of action that affects protozoan cellular function. Its use is recommended for patients with a confirmed diagnosis of these pathologies, and prior medical evaluation should be considered to determine the need for treatment and appropriate dosage.
Composition
Each Amoebriz tablet contains 300 mg of Mebendazole and 150 mg of Quinfamide as active ingredients. Additionally, the formulation includes excipients that facilitate drug administration and absorption.
Contraindications
Amoebriz is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is also recommended to be avoided in pregnant and breastfeeding women, unless the benefit justifies the potential risk. It should not be administered to patients with severe liver diseases or those with impaired renal function without proper medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution is advised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal disorders or those taking other medications that may interact with the action of Mebendazole or Quinfamide. It is important to perform medical monitoring during treatment, especially in cases of severe or recurrent infections. Likewise, liver function should be monitored in patients receiving prolonged treatments.
