Indications

Amcef Im 500 mg is a broad-spectrum antibiotic indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It is used in the treatment of respiratory tract infections, ear infections, skin and soft tissue infections, urinary tract infections, and bacterial meningitis. Its effectiveness is due to ceftriaxone's ability to act against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria.

This medication is recommended in cases of: community-acquired pneumonia, complicated intra-abdominal infections, osteoarticular infections, and septicemia. Amcef Im has proven effective in the treatment of uncomplicated gonorrhea, as well as in the prophylaxis of surgical infections in high-risk procedures.

Ceftriaxone is characterized by good penetration into body tissues and fluids, making it an effective treatment for severe and complicated infections. It is important to follow the dosage regimen indicated by the doctor to ensure the effectiveness of the treatment and prevent the development of bacterial resistance.

Composition

Each ampoule contains 500 mg of ceftriaxone as the active ingredient. Excipients: sodium chloride, water for injection.

Contraindications

Amcef Im is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to cephalosporins or to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of severe allergic reactions to other beta-lactam antibiotics.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, especially colitis. It should also be considered in patients with renal or hepatic insufficiency, as dose adjustment may be necessary. Periodic renal function tests are recommended. During treatment, the appearance of adverse reactions should be monitored.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures below 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
