Indications
Amably 40 mg is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to gastric hyperacidity. It is especially useful in the management of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), where it helps alleviate symptoms such as acidity and heartburn. Additionally, it is used in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori, in combination with antibiotics, to treat gastric and duodenal ulcers. This medication is also indicated for the prevention of ulcers associated with the use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in at-risk patients.
Composition
Each Amably capsule contains 40 mg of esomeprazole as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Amably is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to esomeprazole, other proton pump inhibitors, or any of the formulation components. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver problems or in those taking certain medications that may interact with esomeprazole.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Amably in patients with a history of liver diseases, as well as in those with vitamin B12 deficiencies, as its prolonged use may affect the absorption of this vitamin. Additionally, it is recommended to monitor patients who have been on long-term treatment, due to the possible risk of gastrointestinal adverse effects.
