Indications
Amably (esomeprazole) is indicated for the treatment of various conditions related to excessive stomach acid production, such as:
- Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD): for the treatment of erosive esophagitis caused by acid reflux and for the relief of GERD symptoms.
- Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome: in patients with this syndrome, who have excessive gastric acid production.
- Prevention of gastric and duodenal ulcers in patients receiving treatment with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
- Eradication of Helicobacter pylori in combination with antibiotics, for the prevention of peptic ulcers.
Composition
Each Amably capsule contains 40 mg of esomeprazole, as well as excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
Amably is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to esomeprazole, other proton pump inhibitors, or any component of the formulation. Caution should also be exercised in patients with a history of severe liver problems.
Precautions
Monitoring is recommended for patients with liver diseases, as well as those with vitamin B12 deficiencies, given that prolonged use of esomeprazole can affect the absorption of this vitamin. Additionally, care should be taken in patients who are being treated with medications whose absorption depends on gastric pH.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
