Indications

Alzam (Alprazolam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, panic disorder, and anxiety associated with depression. This medication acts on the central nervous system, providing an anxiolytic effect that helps reduce tension and anxiety. It is important that the use of Alzam be under the supervision of a physician, who will determine the dose and duration of treatment according to the patient's needs.

Composition

Each Alzam tablet contains: Alprazolam 0.5 mg as an active ingredient, in addition to excipients such as lactose, starch, and magnesium stearate.

Contraindications

Alzam is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Alprazolam or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used by patients with severe respiratory diseases, myasthenia gravis, or in combination with potent CYP3A4 inhibitors. Likewise, its use during pregnancy and lactation must be carefully evaluated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of substance abuse, depression, or those with liver or kidney diseases. In addition, abrupt discontinuation of treatment should be avoided, as it can trigger withdrawal symptoms. The use of Alzam can cause drowsiness, so care should be taken when performing activities that require attention, such as driving.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C, out of reach of children. Avoid exposure to direct light.
