Indications

Alzam (Alprazolam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, including generalized anxiety disorder and panic disorder. This medication acts on the central nervous system, producing sedative and anxiolytic effects. It is used in the management of anxiety symptoms that may interfere with the patient's daily functioning. Additionally, it may be used as part of a broader therapeutic approach, which includes psychotherapeutic therapy and other non-pharmacological interventions.

Composition

Each Alzam tablet contains 0.25 mg of alprazolam as an active ingredient, as well as excipients necessary for the product's formulation.

Contraindications

Alzam is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to alprazolam or any other component of the formula. It should not be used in patients with closed-angle glaucoma or in those with severe respiratory insufficiency. Likewise, its use should be avoided in patients who show substance dependence or a history of drug abuse.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of depression, liver or kidney disease, as well as in elderly individuals, due to an increased risk of adverse effects. Prolonged use of alprazolam can lead to physical and psychological dependence, so a periodic evaluation of the patient during treatment is suggested. It is important to avoid combining it with alcohol and other central nervous system depressants.

Storage

Alzam should be stored in a cool and dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children and protect from direct light. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
