Indications

Alzam (Alprazolam) is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, panic disorders, and in the management of anxiety symptoms associated with depression. The medication works by modulating the activity of the gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) neurotransmitter in the central nervous system, which contributes to the reduction of excessive neuronal activity that can lead to anxiety and tension. It is essential that the use of this medication be supervised by a physician, who can determine the appropriate dose and duration of treatment based on the individual needs of the patient.

Composition

Each Alzam tablet contains 0.25 mg of Alprazolam as the active ingredient, as well as excipients that facilitate its formulation and presentation.

Contraindications

Alzam is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Alprazolam or any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with closed-angle glaucoma and in those with severe respiratory insufficiency. Its use in pregnant and breastfeeding women should be carefully evaluated by a physician.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of drug or alcohol abuse, as well as in those with liver or kidney diseases. Treatment should be discontinued gradually to avoid withdrawal symptoms. Combination with other central nervous system depressants is not recommended without adequate medical supervision.

Storage

Alzam should be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of the reach of children. The recommended storage temperature is between 15°C and 30°C.
