Indications
Altruline (sertraline) is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Sertraline works by modulating serotonin in the brain, which helps improve mood, reduce anxiety, and decrease panic symptoms. It is important that treatment is supervised by a physician, who will adjust the dosage according to the patient's response.
Composition
Each Altruline capsule contains 100 mg of sertraline, in addition to excipients that allow for the proper formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
Altruline is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to sertraline or any of the components of the formula. It should not be administered in combination with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in patients who have received MAOI treatment within the last 14 days.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Altruline to patients with a history of manic disorders, as well as those with seizures or epilepsy. It is essential to inform the physician about any medications being taken, as well as pre-existing medical conditions. Use in pregnant or lactating women is not recommended unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Storage
Keep the medication in its original packaging, protected from light and moisture. Keep out of reach of children. Storage temperature should be below 30°C.
