Indications
Alquifos (Ifosfamide) is indicated in the treatment of various types of cancer, including but not limited to, soft tissue sarcomas, germ cell carcinoma, and lymphomas. This medication acts as a chemotherapeutic agent, interfering with DNA synthesis in malignant cells, which prevents their proliferation. Its use is recommended under strict medical supervision, considering the nature of the disease and the patient's general condition.
Composition
Each vial of Alquifos contains 1 gram of ifosfamide as the active ingredient. Additionally, it includes excipients that facilitate the formulation and administration of the medication.
Contraindications
Alquifos should not be administered to patients with known hypersensitivity to ifosfamide or any of the product's excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe kidney lesions or those with severe dehydration. Its use should be carefully evaluated in patients with a history of hematological diseases.
Precautions
It is important to monitor renal and hematological function during Alquifos treatment. Renal function tests are suggested before starting treatment and at regular intervals during treatment. In addition, special care should be taken in patients receiving other chemotherapeutic treatments or who have concomitant diseases that may affect tolerance to the medication.
Storage
Alquifos should be stored in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 25°C. Keep the product out of reach of children and do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
