Indications
Alprazolam is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders, panic disorder, and anxiety disorders associated with depression. This medication acts on the central nervous system, producing an anxiolytic, sedative, and relaxing effect. Its use is recommended in cases where anxiety symptoms interfere with the patient's daily life, as well as in panic attack situations that can generate intense distress and discomfort. It is important that Alprazolam administration is supervised by a physician, who will assess the need for treatment and adjust the dose according to the patient's characteristics and response to the medication.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Alprazolam 1 mg, excipients: starch, lactose, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Alprazolam is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to alprazolam or to any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in cases of narrow-angle glaucoma, severe respiratory insufficiency, or sleep apnea syndrome. Its use should be avoided in patients with a history of substance abuse, as it may have dependence potential.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients with a history of depression, lung diseases, liver or kidney problems, and in those who are being treated with other medications that act on the central nervous system. Alcohol consumption should be avoided during treatment, as it may enhance the sedative effects of alprazolam.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
