Indications
Alprazolam is indicated for the treatment of anxiety disorders and panic disorders. Its use is justified in patients presenting generalized anxiety symptoms, as well as in those experiencing episodes of intense anxiety. The medication acts on the central nervous system, providing a sedative and anxiolytic effect, which helps to alleviate the symptoms associated with these disorders. It can also be used as complementary treatment in situations that cause intense anxiety, such as health problems, work stress, or traumatic events. It is important that the use of Alprazolam is supervised by a healthcare professional, who can determine the duration and appropriate dose according to the patient's characteristics and needs.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Alprazolam 0.25 mg. Excipients: Lactose, corn starch, talc, magnesium stearate.
Contraindications
Alprazolam is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to alprazolam or any other component of the formula. It should not be administered in cases of severe respiratory insufficiency, sleep apnea syndrome, or in patients with closed-angle glaucoma. Its use in combination with other central nervous system depressants should be carefully evaluated, as it may potentiate sedative effects and cause serious complications.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of substance abuse, as well as in those with a history of depression or psychiatric disorders.
