Indications

Alphasens (Lidocaine) 5% ointment is a local anesthetic indicated for the relief of pain and discomfort in various medical conditions. It is used in minor procedures requiring local anesthesia, as well as to treat superficial burns, skin irritations, and other pain-causing disorders. This medication works by blocking nerve signals in the affected area, providing a temporary analgesic effect. It is also useful in managing postoperative pain in certain minor surgeries. For use, it is essential to follow the doctor's instructions and the recommended dosage, which may vary depending on the condition being treated.

Composition

Each 100 g of ointment contains: 5 g of lidocaine as the active ingredient and excipients necessary for product formulation.

Contraindications

Alphasens is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to lidocaine or other similar local anesthetics. It should not be used in patients with cardiac conduction disorders or those undergoing treatment with antiarrhythmics without proper medical supervision. Furthermore, its application to extensive areas of the skin or mucous membranes should be avoided, as it may increase the risk of systemic toxicity.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with heart or liver diseases, as well as in those undergoing treatment with medications that may cause interactions. It is important to perform a medical evaluation before starting treatment with Alphasens, especially in vulnerable populations such as the elderly or children. Application to deep or infected wounds should also be avoided.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
