Indications

Alosol is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections of the outer and middle ear, as well as for the management of pain associated with these conditions. It is used in cases of otitis externa and otitis media, where an antibacterial and analgesic approach is required. Its formulation combines the action of Polymyxin B and Neomycin, which act synergistically against a wide range of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and Lidocaine, which provides a local anesthetic effect, relieving the pain and discomfort associated with infections. This product is for exclusive use by patients who have been diagnosed by a doctor, and must be used under their supervision to ensure its efficacy and safety.

Composition

Each 100 mL of Alosol contains: Polymyxin B 0.86 g, Neomycin 0.25 g, Lidocaine 0.1 g. Excipients: purified water, hydrochloric acid, among others.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula or to other antibacterial agents of the aminoglycoside group. It should not be used in the presence of a perforated eardrum, as it may worsen the situation and cause adverse effects.

Precautions

It is recommended to evaluate renal function in patients with pre-existing kidney diseases before starting treatment. Additionally, caution should be exercised in patients with a history of drug allergies. Alosol should not be used for prolonged periods to avoid bacterial resistance and systemic side effects.

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
