Indications

Almetec Tri is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adult patients. The combination of olmesartan, amlodipine, and hydrochlorothiazide provides a comprehensive approach to blood pressure control, acting through different mechanisms. This combination is useful in patients who do not achieve adequate blood pressure control with monotherapy alone. It is suggested that administration be complementary to lifestyle changes, such as reducing salt intake and increasing physical activity.

Composition

Each tablet of Almetec Tri contains:

  • Olmesartan medoxomil: 40 mg
  • Amlodipine: 5 mg
  • Hydrochlorothiazide: 12.5 mg

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous ACE inhibitor treatments, or in those with severe renal insufficiency, anuria, or in pregnant or breastfeeding women.

Precautions

Precautions should be taken in patients with a history of liver disease, electrolyte disorders, or those who are being treated with other antihypertensives. It is important to monitor renal function and electrolyte levels during treatment. In case of angioedema symptoms, treatment should be discontinued immediately.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
