Indications

Almetec Tri is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. This medication combines three antihypertensive agents: olmesartan, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist; amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker; and hydrochlorothiazide, a diuretic. The combination of these drugs acts synergistically to reduce blood pressure, improving blood pressure control in patients who do not achieve blood pressure targets with monotherapy. Regular blood pressure assessment and dose adjustment based on the patient's clinical response are recommended.

Composition

Each Almetec Tri tablet contains: 20 mg of olmesartan medoxomil, 5 mg of amlodipine besylate, and 12.5 mg of hydrochlorothiazide.

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula, in those with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with ACE inhibitors or angiotensin II receptor antagonists, as well as in patients with severe renal insufficiency and those with anuria. Its use during pregnancy and lactation is not recommended.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with bilateral renal artery stenosis, hepatic insufficiency, hypokalemia, or those who are undergoing treatment with diuretics. Monitoring of electrolytes and renal function at the beginning of treatment is recommended. Furthermore, the risk of hypotension should be considered, especially in dehydrated or hypovolemic patients.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 °C. Keep out of reach of children.
