Indications

Almetec-Co is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. Its use aims to reduce blood pressure and, consequently, decrease the risk of cardiovascular diseases. The combination of Olmesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide acts synergistically, promoting better blood pressure control in patients requiring more intensive treatment. Regular patient follow-up is important to adjust the dose as needed and ensure an optimal response to treatment.

Composition

Each tablet contains:
- Olmesartan medoxomil 40 mg
- Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to the components of the formula, as well as in those with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs). It should not be administered to patients with severe renal failure or those undergoing dialysis. It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions

Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver disease, mild to moderate renal insufficiency, electrolyte imbalances, or cardiovascular diseases. Renal function and electrolyte levels should be monitored during treatment. Additionally, it is important to consider interaction with other medications that may affect blood pressure or kidney function.

Store the medication in its original container at room temperature, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
