Indications

Alloc is indicated for the treatment of bacterial infections caused by microorganisms sensitive to moxifloxacin. It is used in the treatment of:

  • Respiratory tract infections, including community-acquired pneumonia.
  • Acute sinusitis.
  • Acute exacerbations of chronic bronchitis.
  • Skin and soft tissue infections.
  • Complicated intra-abdominal infections.

Moxifloxacin works by inhibiting bacterial DNA synthesis, leading to the death of sensitive bacteria. It is important that treatment is carried out under the supervision of a healthcare professional.

Composition

Each Alloc tablet contains 400 mg of moxifloxacin. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, among others.

Contraindications

Alloc is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to moxifloxacin, other fluoroquinolone antibiotics, or any component of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of tendinitis or tendon rupture associated with fluoroquinolone use.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of central nervous system diseases, as well as in those with renal insufficiency. It is important to evaluate the risk-benefit ratio in patients over 65 years of age and in those taking medications that may prolong the QT interval.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
