Indications
Allegra Ped Suspension is indicated for the treatment of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis, including sneezing, rhinorrhea (runny nose), nasal and eye itching, as well as nasal congestion. It is also used in the management of chronic idiopathic urticaria and other allergic manifestations that affect the patient's quality of life. This medicine works by blocking histamine H1 receptors, which reduces the occurrence of allergic symptoms.
Composition
Each 100 ml of suspension contains: Fexofenadine HCl 600 mg as active ingredient. Excipients: purified water, glycerin, sorbitol, flavoring and other excipients.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fexofenadine or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency and in children under 2 years of age.
Precautions
It is recommended to evaluate renal function before starting treatment in patients with a history of kidney disease. Caution should be exercised when administering this medicine in patients who are taking other antihistamines or who have a history of cardiovascular disease. Grapefruit juice consumption is not recommended during treatment, as it may affect the absorption of the medicine.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
