Indications
Allegra is indicated for the relief of symptoms related to seasonal allergic rhinitis, such as sneezing, runny nose, itching of the nose and eyes, as well as nasal congestion. It is also used in the treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria, providing relief to patients with itching and skin rashes. Due to its antihistamine action, Allegra works by blocking the effects of histamine, a substance released in the body during an allergic reaction, thereby facilitating the improvement of symptoms that affect patients' quality of life.
Composition
Each Allegra tablet contains 180 mg of fexofenadine as the active ingredient. Additionally, it contains excipients that aid in the product's formulation, ensuring its stability and efficacy.
Contraindications
Allegra is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fexofenadine or any of the formula's components. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease, and caution should be exercised in those with moderate kidney problems.
Precautions
Special care should be taken in patients who are being treated with other medications that may affect kidney function. Furthermore, it is important to avoid grapefruit juice, as it can alter the absorption of fexofenadine. In case of allergic reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.
Storage
Store at room temperature, between 15°C and 30°C, in a dry place and out of reach of children. Avoid exposure to direct light and moisture.
