Indications

Alka Seltzer Effervescent is indicated for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with colds and flu, including fever, headache, and discomfort. This medication is also used for the treatment of heartburn and indigestion, providing an effervescent effect that helps neutralize excess stomach acid.

Composition

Each effervescent tablet contains:

  • Sodium bicarbonate: 1.98 g
  • Citric acid: 1 g
  • Acetylsalicylic acid: 324 mg

Contraindications

This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with gastric ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, or those with bleeding disorders.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of asthma, kidney or liver disease, and those who consume excessive alcohol. Prolonged use of this medication without medical supervision is advisable. In case of persistent or severe symptoms, a healthcare professional should be consulted.

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
