Indications

Alka-Seltzer Effervescent is indicated for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with heartburn, indigestion, and upset stomach. It is also used to relieve minor aches and fever, due to its acetylsalicylic acid content. It is useful for the treatment of headaches, muscle aches, and other types of mild to moderate pain. This medicine acts as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and as an effervescent that helps neutralize stomach acidity.

Composition

Each effervescent tablet contains: 1.98 g of Sodium Bicarbonate, 1 g of Citric Acid, and 324 mg of Acetylsalicylic Acid.

Contraindications

Alka-Seltzer Effervescent is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the product components, as well as in those with active gastric or duodenal ulcers, bleeding disorders, or those undergoing anticoagulant therapy. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe renal insufficiency.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of asthma, liver diseases, or those who consume excessive alcohol. Its use should also be avoided in children and adolescents with symptoms of viral infection, due to the risk of Reye's syndrome. It is important to consult a doctor before starting treatment if the patient has any pre-existing medical condition or is taking other medications.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
