Indications
Aliren is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of flu-like symptoms and common colds, as well as inflammatory processes of the upper respiratory tract. Its combined formulation of amantadine, chlorphenamine, and paracetamol helps relieve symptoms such as fever, headache, nasal congestion, and general malaise. Amantadine acts as an antiviral, while chlorphenamine is an antihistamine that helps reduce allergic symptoms and nasal discharge. Paracetamol provides pain relief and fever reduction.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Aliren contains: Amantadine 2.5 g, Chlorphenamine 0.1 g, Paracetamol 15 g.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formulation. Its use is not recommended in cases of severe liver disease or severe renal failure. Likewise, it should be avoided in patients taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) and during pregnancy and lactation without proper medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Aliren to patients with a history of seizures, heart disease, glaucoma, or urinary retention. It is important to monitor the response to treatment and possible adverse effects, especially in elderly patients or those who are being treated with other medications that may interact with the components of Aliren.
Storage
Store the medication in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep the container tightly closed and out of reach of children.
