Indications
Aliren is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute respiratory infections that present symptoms such as fever, nasal congestion, and general malaise. This medication combines the antiviral action of amantadine with the antihistamine properties of chlorphenamine and the analgesic and antipyretic effect of paracetamol. It is useful in the management of flu and other viral conditions, helping to relieve symptoms and improve the patient's quality of life during the recovery process.
Composition
Each 100 ml of Aliren Syrup contains: Amantadine 0.50 g, Chlorphenamine 0.02 g, Paracetamol 3 g.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe kidney disease, liver disease, or those with a history of seizures. It should also be avoided in patients receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of heart disease, hypertension, or psychiatric disorders. Medical supervision is recommended for elderly individuals or those taking other medications that may interact with Aliren's components. Prolonged use of paracetamol can lead to liver toxicity; therefore, do not exceed the recommended dose.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
