Indications
Alin Depot (Dexamethasone) is indicated for the treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. Its use includes conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, dermatitis, and severe allergic diseases. It is also used in the treatment of various respiratory conditions such as asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). In addition, it can be employed in hormone replacement therapies in cases of adrenal insufficiency, as well as in the management of certain types of cancer, where effective control of inflammation and associated symptoms is required.
Composition
Each Alin Depot ampoule contains 4 mg of Dexamethasone as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients necessary for its formulation.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Dexamethasone or any of the components of the formula. It should not be used in systemic fungal infections, active tuberculosis, as well as in patients with viral or bacterial diseases that are not controlled. It is also contraindicated in those with untreated peptic ulcers and in cases of severe renal or hepatic insufficiency.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in its use in patients with hypertension, diabetes, osteoporosis, and in those who are undergoing treatment with other immunosuppressive medications. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and blood glucose levels is recommended during treatment. Abrupt discontinuation of Dexamethasone in prolonged treatments is not recommended due to the risk of acute adrenal insufficiency.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
