Indications

Afrin Adult Spray 0.050% is indicated for the temporary relief of nasal congestion associated with colds, allergies, and sinusitis. Its decongestant action is due to the vasoconstriction of blood vessels in the nasal mucosa, which reduces swelling and congestion. This medication provides fast and effective relief, allowing for better nasal breathing.

Composition

Each milliliter of Afrin Adult Spray contains 0.5 mg of Oxymetazoline as the active ingredient. Excipients: Benzalkonium chloride, monosodium phosphate, disodium phosphate, purified water.

Contraindications

Afrin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to oxymetazoline or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with rhinitis sicca or uncontrolled high blood pressure. Likewise, it should be avoided in individuals who have recently undergone surgery in the nasal passages.

Precautions

It should be used with caution in patients with cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, diabetes mellitus, or thyroid diseases. Prolonged or excessive use of this medication can cause rebound nasal congestion, which may lead to its inappropriate use. It is recommended not to exceed the recommended dose and to consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than three days.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
