Indications
Advil is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, including headache, muscle pain, dental pain, dysmenorrhea, and fever. Ibuprofen, its active ingredient, acts as an analgesic and antipyretic, helping to reduce inflammation and discomfort associated with various conditions. Additionally, it is used in the management of symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatic diseases, as well as in postoperative processes where pain relief is required.
Composition
Each tablet contains:
- Ibuprofen: 200 mg
- Excipients: Lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Advil should not be used in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or any of the excipients in the formula. It is contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcers, inflammatory bowel disease, severe renal or hepatic insufficiency, and in those with coagulation disorders. Its use is not recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with asthma, high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, moderate renal or hepatic insufficiency. Renal function should be monitored in patients receiving prolonged treatment. Concomitant administration with other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs is also suggested to be avoided.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.
