Indications

Advil 200 mg is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, such as headache, muscle pain, dental pain, dysmenorrhea, and joint pain. It is also used for fever reduction in febrile states. Ibuprofen works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are responsible for inflammation and pain.

Composition

Each Advil tablet contains 200 mg of ibuprofen as the active ingredient. Excipients: corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Advil should not be used in patients with a history of hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). It is contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal insufficiency, severe liver diseases, and those with coagulation disorders. Its use is not recommended during the third trimester of pregnancy.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, renal or hepatic insufficiency. It is also important to monitor patients who are undergoing treatment with anticoagulants, as ibuprofen may increase the risk of bleeding. In case of symptoms such as abdominal pain, bleeding, or allergic reactions, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor consulted.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date printed on the package.
