Indications

Advil 12H is indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate painful conditions, including headache, dental pain, dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain), and muscle pain. It is also used for the relief of fever and symptoms associated with colds and flu. Additionally, its anti-inflammatory action makes it useful in conditions such as arthritis and other inflammatory conditions. Ibuprofen works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, which are compounds responsible for inflammation and pain.

Composition

Each tablet contains 600 mg of ibuprofen as the active ingredient. Excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

Advil 12H is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to ibuprofen or any of the product's excipients. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of peptic ulcers, gastrointestinal bleeding, severe renal failure, or hepatic insufficiency. Its use in the third trimester of pregnancy is contraindicated due to the risk of premature closure of the ductus arteriosus in the fetus.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases, asthma, high blood pressure, heart disease, or kidney disease. Renal function should be monitored in patients with risk factors. Prolonged or high-dose use should be avoided without medical supervision. The use of ibuprofen may increase the risk of cardiovascular events, especially in patients with pre-existing cardiovascular disease.
