Indications
Adiolol is indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe pain. It is used in situations where pain cannot be adequately controlled with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) or conventional analgesics. This medication is useful in the management of post-surgical pain, pain associated with chronic injuries or diseases, as well as in the treatment of neuropathic pain. Tramadol acts on the central nervous system to relieve pain by altering its perception and response.
Composition
Each Adiolol capsule contains 50 mg of tramadol as the active ingredient, in addition to excipients that allow for the formulation and stability of the medication.
Contraindications
Adiolol is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to tramadol or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered to patients who are undergoing treatment with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or those who have received MAOIs in the previous two weeks. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of seizures or uncontrolled epilepsy.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of opioid dependence, respiratory disorders, severe liver or kidney diseases, as well as in those receiving concomitant treatments that may depress the central nervous system. Regular medical monitoring is recommended during treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, away from direct light and out of the reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the packaging.
