Indications
Adimod is indicated in the treatment of diseases related to immunity. It is used in the management of recurrent infections in patients with primary or secondary immunodeficiencies. In addition, it is useful in the treatment of acute and chronic respiratory diseases, as well as in the prophylaxis of infections in patients receiving immunosuppressive treatments. Its action is based on the modulation of the immune response, promoting the activation of lymphocytes and the production of antibodies, which improves the body's defense against pathogens.
Composition
Each bottle of Adimod contains 800 mg of pidotimod, which acts as the active ingredient. Excipients are also present to facilitate the product's formulation.
Contraindications
Adimod is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to pidotimod or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients who present severe allergic reactions or in those who have had adverse reactions to drugs of the same class.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when using Adimod in patients with autoimmune diseases, as it could exacerbate the condition. Likewise, it is recommended to evaluate immunological function before starting treatment. It should be used under strict medical supervision in patients with a history of oncological diseases.
Storage
Store the bottle in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25 °C. Keep out of reach of children and do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging.
