Indications

Adacel is indicated for active immunization of individuals aged 4 years and older, as part of a vaccination schedule against whooping cough (pertussis), tetanus, and diphtheria. Its use is recommended in adults and adolescents who require a booster dose, as well as in pregnant women to provide passive protection to the newborn. Vaccination can be part of a public health program to control the outbreak of vaccine-preventable diseases.

Composition

Each Adacel ampule contains active components including diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, and Bordetella pertussis antigens. The formulation is carefully designed to generate an adequate immune response in the body.

Contraindications

Adacel is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any of the vaccine components, as well as in those who have experienced severe adverse reactions to previous vaccines containing diphtheria toxoid, tetanus toxoid, or Bordetella pertussis components. It should not be administered to people with acute febrile illnesses or those suffering from immunodeficient conditions, except as specifically indicated by the physician.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Adacel to patients with a history of seizures or neurological disorders, as well as those with a history of adverse reactions to other vaccines. It is important for the physician to evaluate the risk-benefit ratio in patients with underlying medical conditions.

Storage

Adacel should be stored refrigerated between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Keep in its original packaging and protect from light. Make sure to check the expiration date before administration.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
