Indications

Acxion Ap is indicated as an adjunct in weight reduction programs for obese patients, in combination with a hypocaloric diet and an exercise regimen. Its use is intended for patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater, or 27 or greater in the presence of obesity-related comorbidities, such as hypertension, type 2 diabetes mellitus, or dyslipidemia. Phentermine acts as an appetite suppressant, helping to decrease caloric intake and contributing to weight loss.

Composition

Each Acxion Ap tablet contains 30 mg of phentermine as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.

Contraindications

Acxion Ap is contraindicated in patients with a history of uncontrolled hypertension, cardiovascular diseases, hyperthyroidism, glaucoma, and in those with a history of substance abuse. It is also contraindicated during pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions

It is recommended to use Acxion Ap under strict medical supervision, regularly monitoring the patient's blood pressure and cardiovascular status. Special care should also be taken in patients with a history of psychiatric disorders, as phentermine may worsen these conditions.
