Indications
Actilyse (Alteplase) is indicated for the treatment of patients with acute myocardial infarction, presenting a clinical picture of chest pain and ST segment elevation on the electrocardiogram. It is also used in patients with massive pulmonary embolism, where immediate dissolution of the thrombus is required, and in the treatment of acute ischemic stroke. Its use should be considered in patients where thrombolytic therapy is timely and appropriate according to current clinical guidelines.
Composition
Each vial of Actilyse contains 50 mg of alteplase, as well as excipients that facilitate its administration and stability.
Contraindications
Actilyse is contraindicated in patients with active bleeding, a history of intracranial hemorrhage, intracranial neoplasms, recent trauma or surgery of the central nervous system, uncontrolled hypertension, as well as in those with a known allergy to alteplase or any of the components of the formulation.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with renal or hepatic impairment, as well as in those receiving other medications that may increase the risk of bleeding. It is essential to monitor the patient's response during and after the administration of the medication.
Storage
Store in refrigeration between 2 °C and 8 °C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children.
