Indications

Aclarium is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to azithromycin. It is used in the treatment of respiratory infections, including community-acquired pneumonia, acute and chronic bronchitis. It is also effective in the treatment of skin and soft tissue infections, as well as sexually transmitted infections such as uncomplicated urethritis and cervicitis caused by Chlamydia trachomatis. Azithromycin acts by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, which results in the death of bacteria or the arrest of their growth.

Composition

Each tablet contains 500 mg of Azithromycin as an active ingredient. Excipients: starch, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, and others. Consult the packaging for more details.

Contraindications

Aclarium is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to azithromycin, other macrolide antibiotics, or any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with a history of cholestatic jaundice or severe hepatic dysfunction.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of cardiac arrhythmias, especially in those receiving concomitant treatment with other medications that prolong the QT interval. Monitoring of patients with severe renal insufficiency is also recommended. It is important to evaluate the need for dose adjustment in these cases.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature, between 15 and 30 degrees Celsius. Keep out of reach of children.
