Indications
Acarbixin is indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections. It is effective in treating respiratory tract infections, such as sinusitis and pneumonia, as well as middle ear infections (otitis media). It is also used in urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, and in the treatment of dental infections. The combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid enhances the antibacterial effect, allowing for the management of infections caused by beta-lactamase producing bacteria, which are resistant to other antibiotics. This medication must be administered under the supervision of a healthcare professional, who will determine the appropriate duration and dosage according to the severity of the infection and the patient's response to treatment.
Composition
Each Acarbixin tablet contains 875 mg of amoxicillin and 125 mg of clavulanic acid, along with excipients that facilitate its formulation and absorption.
Contraindications
Acarbixin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to amoxicillin, clavulanic acid, or other penicillin-class antibiotics. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of jaundice or liver dysfunction associated with the use of amoxicillin/clavulanic acid.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver disease, kidney disease, or allergic conditions. Medical monitoring is important during treatment, especially if adverse reactions occur. In case of severe diarrhea, it is recommended to stop treatment and consult a doctor, as it may be a sign of pseudomembranous colitis.

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
