Indications

Abretia is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder in adults. It is also used for the management of generalized anxiety disorder and the management of diabetic neuropathic pain. Duloxetine works by increasing levels of serotonin and norepinephrine in the central nervous system, which helps improve mood and reduce anxiety. It is also indicated for the treatment of chronic pain, such as fibromyalgia and chronic musculoskeletal pain, providing relief to patients suffering from these conditions.

Composition

Each Abretia capsule contains 60 mg of duloxetine, as well as excipients to facilitate its formulation and absorption.

Contraindications

Abretia is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to duloxetine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It is also contraindicated in patients with severe liver disease, severe renal insufficiency, and in those taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs).

Precautions

Caution should be exercised when administering Abretia to patients with a history of manic-depressive disorders, bleeding disorders, narrow-angle glaucoma, or hypertension. In addition, it is important to monitor patients for signs of worsening depression or suicidal behavior, especially at the beginning of treatment or when adjusting the dose.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at room temperature. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the package.
