Indications
Abretia (duloxetine) is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorders in adults, as well as for the management of generalized anxiety disorders. In addition, it is used in the treatment of diabetic neuropathic pain and in the management of chronic pain, including fibromyalgia. Duloxetine acts on neurotransmitters in the brain, helping to improve mood and reduce pain perception.
Composition
Each Abretia capsule contains 30 mg of duloxetine, in addition to excipients such as gelatin, titanium dioxide, and other inert components that allow for the formulation of the medication.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to duloxetine or any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease or severe renal insufficiency. Likewise, caution should be exercised in patients who are taking monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or in those with a history of manic disorders or seizures.
Precautions
It is important that patients inform their doctor about any other medications they are taking, as well as their medical history, especially regarding liver problems, kidney problems, or a history of substance abuse. Close monitoring should be carried out in the first months of treatment, as side effects such as mood changes, suicidal thoughts, or suicide attempts may occur, particularly in adolescents and young adults.
Storage
Store Abretia in a cool, dry place, away from direct light and out of the reach of children. Do not use the medication after the expiration date shown on the package.
