Indications
Abasaglar is a medicine indicated for the treatment of type 1 and type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults, adolescents, and children aged 6 years and older. Its use is intended for regulating blood glucose levels in patients who require insulin for disease control. This medicine can be used in combination with other oral antidiabetics in type 2 diabetes patients who do not achieve adequate glucose control with oral medications alone.
Composition
Each Abasaglar pen contains Insulin Glargine, a long-acting insulin that provides constant glycemic control for 24 hours. Additionally, excipients are included to facilitate the stability and administration of the medicine.
Contraindications
Abasaglar is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to insulin glargine or any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be used during hypoglycemic episodes or in patients with conditions that could jeopardize their health if a severe adverse reaction occurs.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with liver or kidney diseases, as these conditions may alter insulin metabolism. Additionally, it is important to regularly monitor blood glucose levels and adjust the insulin dose as needed. Administration should be performed by trained personnel, especially in patients new to insulin therapy.
Storage
Abasaglar should be stored in refrigeration between 2°C and 8°C. Do not freeze. Once opened, the medicine can be stored at room temperature (below 30°C) and must be used within 28 days of its first use.

- FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
