Indications
A.F. Valdecasas 5 mg is used as a dietary supplement in the prevention and treatment of folic acid deficiency. It is especially indicated for women of childbearing age, as well as during pregnancy and lactation, to prevent neural tube defects in the fetus and ensure proper fetal development. It can also be recommended in cases of megaloblastic anemia and in treatments that require an increased intake of folic acid, such as in patients with gastrointestinal diseases that affect nutrient absorption.
Composition
Each tablet contains: Folic Acid 5 mg. Excipients: starch, lactose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, among others.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to folic acid or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with undiagnosed anemia or whose condition has not been previously evaluated by a physician.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of epilepsy, as high doses of folic acid can cause seizures. Likewise, it is important to evaluate the cause of anemia before starting treatment, and self-medication should be avoided. Medical supervision is recommended during the use of this product, especially in vulnerable populations such as pregnant and lactating women.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.

Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
