Indications

A.F. Valdecasas is a medication indicated for the prevention and treatment of folic acid deficiencies in the body. Its use is recommended for women planning a pregnancy, as well as during pregnancy, to reduce the risk of fetal malformations. Furthermore, it is indicated in cases of megaloblastic anemia and in conditions requiring increased folic acid intake, such as certain gastrointestinal diseases that affect nutrient absorption.

Composition

Each tablet contains 5 mg of folic acid as an active ingredient. Excipients: lactose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.

Contraindications

A.F. Valdecasas is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to folic acid or any of the formula's components. It should not be used in cases of undiagnosed anemia, as it can mask a vitamin B12 deficiency.

Precautions

It is recommended to use with caution in patients with a history of allergies or gastrointestinal problems. It is important to perform adequate tests to determine the cause of anemia before starting treatment with folic acid. Likewise, it should be noted that excessive use of folic acid can mask symptoms of vitamin B12 deficiency.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Keep out of reach of children.

  1. Free home delivery by local branches on orders over $1000. Otherwise, a $50 fee will be added in the cities of Querétaro and La Paz, BCS, and $150 in San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, BCS.
  2. FREE national shipping via ground on orders over $1,500.00. Otherwise, a fee of $170.00 MXN (One hundred seventy Mexican pesos) will be added for a standard package with dimensions up to 20cm x 20cm x 20cm and 1kg in weight, and $290.00 MXN (Two hundred ninety Mexican pesos) for packages exceeding the aforementioned dimensions or weight.
  3. In case of oversized items, the corresponding fee will apply according to the parcel service.
