Indications
Truqap (Capivasertib) is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with metastatic breast cancer who have PIK3CA gene mutations and have progressed on previous therapies. This medication can be used in combination with other oncological treatments to improve therapeutic response and prolong survival in patients with this condition. It is important that the use of Truqap is carried out under the supervision of an oncology specialist, who will assess the need for its use based on the patient's clinical status and medical history.
Composition
Each Truqap tablet contains 200 mg of Capivasertib as the active ingredient. Excipients include microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, and magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Truqap is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Capivasertib or to any of the excipients in the formulation. It should not be administered during pregnancy and lactation, unless the potential benefit justifies the risk to the fetus or infant.
Precautions
Regular monitoring of patients during treatment with Truqap is essential, as it can cause adverse effects, including but not limited to, alterations in liver and gastrointestinal function. Liver function tests are recommended before starting treatment and at regular intervals during treatment. Patients should be informed about the possibility of adverse reactions and the importance of reporting them immediately to their doctor.
Storage
Truqap should be stored at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C, protected from light and humidity. Keep out of reach of children.
