Indications
Paramix Suspension is indicated for the treatment of intestinal infections caused by protozoa and helminths. It is effective in the management of diarrhea associated with Giardia lamblia and Cryptosporidium parvum, as well as infections by other parasites. Nitazoxanide acts by inhibiting energy synthesis in protozoa and helminths, which contributes to their elimination from the body. Its use is recommended in patients with a confirmed diagnosis of these infections and under medical supervision.
Composition
Each 5 ml of Paramix Suspension contains 100 mg of nitazoxanide as an active ingredient. Excipients: purified water, flavoring, and other inert excipients.
Contraindications
This medication is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nitazoxanide or to any of the excipients in the formula. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe liver disease or severe kidney failure. It should not be administered during pregnancy and lactation unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised when administering Paramix Suspension to patients with a history of liver or kidney disease. It is important to monitor patients during treatment, especially those with severe gastrointestinal symptoms. Self-medication is not recommended, and a doctor should be consulted for any questions about its use.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date shown on the package.
