Indications
Paramix is used in the treatment of infections caused by protozoa and helminths. It is indicated for the treatment of giardiasis and amebiasis, as well as in cases of infections by certain types of helminths. In addition, its efficacy has been demonstrated in the treatment of viral infections such as influenza and acute diarrhea caused by rotavirus. This medication works by interfering with the metabolism of parasites, which contributes to their elimination from the body.
Composition
Each Paramix tablet contains 500 mg of nitazoxanide as an active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate the formulation and bioavailability of the medication.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to nitazoxanide or to any of the excipients in the formulation. Its use is not recommended in patients with severe hepatic impairment. It should not be administered during pregnancy and lactation unless strictly necessary and under medical supervision.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of liver or kidney disease. It is important to monitor the patient if adverse reactions or side effects occur. Concurrent use with other medications is not recommended without proper medical consultation, as they may interact and affect the efficacy of the treatment.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
