Indications

Natrazim is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in adults. Lowering blood pressure can reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications, such as heart attacks and strokes. Additionally, it can be used in patients with type 2 diabetes and chronic kidney disease, as it helps protect kidney function.

This medication works by blocking angiotensin II receptors, which causes vasodilation and, consequently, a decrease in blood pressure. It is important to note that the use of Telmisartan should be part of a comprehensive approach that includes lifestyle changes, such as a balanced diet, regular exercise, and weight management.

Composition

Each Natrazim tablet contains 40 mg of Telmisartan, as well as excipients necessary for its formulation.

Contraindications

Natrazim is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Telmisartan or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be used during pregnancy or lactation. It is also contraindicated in patients with a history of angioedema related to previous treatments with angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors (ACEIs) or in those with bilateral renal artery stenosis or a single kidney with a stenosed renal artery.

Precautions

Regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function during treatment is essential. Caution is recommended in patients with liver or kidney failure, as well as in those with conditions that may increase the risk of hypotension. Abrupt discontinuation of treatment is not recommended, as this can cause an increase in blood pressure.

Store at room temperature, in a dry place and protected from direct light. Keep out of reach of children.
