Indications
Hurplex is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute and chronic diarrhea in adults and children over 12 years of age. Its action is based on the reduction of intestinal motility, which allows greater absorption of fluids and electrolytes, helping to reduce the frequency and urgency of bowel movements. This medication can also be used in cases of diarrhea associated with gastrointestinal infections, always under medical supervision. It is important to follow the doctor's instructions regarding the dose and duration of treatment.
Composition
Each Hurplex tablet contains 2 mg of loperamide as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients that facilitate its formulation and stability.
Contraindications
Hurplex should not be used in patients with diarrhea caused by bacterial infections or in cases of ulcerative colitis. It is contraindicated in people with known hypersensitivity to loperamide or any of the product's excipients. Its use in children under 12 years of age without adequate medical supervision is not recommended.
Precautions
Caution is suggested in patients with a history of liver diseases, as loperamide is mainly metabolized in the liver. Its use should also be considered in people who are taking other medications that may affect intestinal motility or who have pre-existing medical conditions that may worsen the effects of diarrhea. It is essential to consult a doctor if symptoms persist for more than two days or if signs of dehydration appear.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiration date indicated on the package.
