Indications

Gelmicin is a cream indicated for the treatment of dermatological infections caused by fungi and bacteria. It is effective in managing conditions such as dermatitis, ringworm, candidiasis, and other skin infections. The combination of Clotrimazole, an antifungal, with Gentamicin, an antibiotic, and Betamethasone, a corticosteroid, provides a comprehensive approach to managing these pathologies, relieving not only the infection but also the associated inflammation and itching. Its use is recommended for skin lesions with bacterial superinfection and in cases where an anti-inflammatory action is required.

Composition

Each 100 g of Gelmicin cream contains: Clotrimazole 1 g, Betamethasone 0.5 g, Gentamicin 0.1 g, excipients q.s. 100 g.

Contraindications

Gelmicin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula. It should not be applied to large areas of skin with viral, fungal, or tuberculous infections, or in patients with inflammation or infections in areas where the skin is damaged or ulcerated.

Precautions

Caution should be exercised in its use in patients with a history of allergic reactions to corticosteroids or antibiotics. It is important to avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. If irritation or an allergic reaction occurs during treatment, its use should be discontinued and a doctor consulted. Prolonged use without medical supervision is not recommended.

Storage

Store at room temperature, between 15 and 30 °C. Keep the product in its original packaging and out of reach of children.
