Indications
Blodivit is indicated for the reduction of elevated total cholesterol, LDL cholesterol, and triglyceride levels in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia and mixed dyslipidemia. Additionally, it is used for the prevention of cardiovascular events in patients with a history of cardiovascular diseases or in those with multiple risk factors. Its use is effective in improving the lipid profile in combination with an appropriate diet and other lifestyle changes.
Composition
Each Blodivit tablet contains 20 mg of atorvastatin as the active ingredient. It also contains excipients such as lactose, starch, microcrystalline cellulose, and magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
Blodivit is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to atorvastatin or any of the excipients in the formula. It should not be administered in cases of active liver disease, persistent elevations of serum transaminases, and during pregnancy and lactation.
Precautions
Caution is recommended in patients with a history of liver disease, excessive alcohol consumption, and those taking other medications that may interact with atorvastatin. Regular monitoring of liver transaminases is important during treatment. Blodivit is not suitable for use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age.
Storage
Store in a cool, dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
