Indications
Zyloprim is indicated in the treatment of hyperuricemia associated with gout and in the prevention of gout attacks. It is also used in the treatment of hyperuricemia secondary to neoplastic diseases and in patients receiving chemotherapy or radiotherapy. Allopurinol is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor, which reduces the production of uric acid in the body, thus helping to control the levels of this metabolite in the blood and prevent the formation of urate crystals in the joints.
Composition
Each Zyloprim tablet contains 100 mg of allopurinol as the active ingredient. Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, starch, magnesium stearate, among others.
Contraindications
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to allopurinol or any of the product's excipients. It should not be administered to patients with severe uncontrolled liver or kidney diseases. Furthermore, its use is not recommended in pregnant women, unless the benefits outweigh the risks.
Precautions
Caution should be exercised in patients with a history of kidney or liver disease, as well as in those receiving other medications that may affect renal function. It is important to monitor renal function and uric acid levels during treatment. It is recommended to start treatment with low doses and gradually increase them to minimize the risk of adverse reactions.

Store in a cool, dry place, at temperatures not exceeding 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
